Introducing More WWK Bloggers

We at Writers Who Kill are very proud of the authors who contribute to our blog. You’ve been reading their posts, but you may not know much about these talented writers. Last month we posted information about some of them. Here is information about the others. Check out their short stories and novels, which feature a mystery or two. 

 

 

James M. Jackson

 

Jim is a retired actuary who now writes thrillers with a twist of financial crime. He is the author of seven books and two novellas in his Seamus McCree series. Seamus ferrets out financial chicanery while dealing with his arch-nemesis, the Happy Reaper. Be on the lookout (BOLO) for the eighth book in his series, Hijacked Legacy, coming out on April 22, 2024.

Marilyn Levinson

 

Marilyn, who also writes as Allison Brook, is a former Spanish teacher who turned to writing mysteries. As Marilyn Levinson, she wrote the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club Mysteries and the Twin Lakes Mysteries. BOLO for Come Home to Death, coming out on April 30, 2024. As Allison Brook, she writes the Haunted Library Mystery Series. BOLO for Booked on Murder, coming out in August 2024.

Molly MacRae

 

Molly is a retired librarian and former manager of an independent bookstore. She is the author of the Highland Bookshop Mysteries, the Haunted Yarn Shop Mysteries, The Haunted Shell Shop Mysteries, numerous short stories, and mystery plays. BOLO for the first book in her Haunted Shell Shop Mysteries, Come Shell or High Water, coming July 2024.

Lisa Malice

 

Lisa is a psychologist-turned-writer. Lest She Forget, her first book, was released in December 2023. It’s a psychological thriller that digs deep into one woman’s struggle to break free from the chains that bind her to a dark forgotten past, find redemption, and live life in the light of her own terms. Lisa is working on two psychological thrillers, featuring complex family relationships. BOLO for Rock-A-Bye Baby, coming this year.

Korina Moss

 

Korina loves creating quirky characters who live in idyllic small towns. Korina lives in a small New England town with its own share of quirky characters. She is the author of four books in the Cheese Shop Mystery Series set in Sonoma Valley, California. BOLO for the fifth book in her series, Fondue or Die, which will be coming out in October 2024.

Judy L. Murray

 

Judy is a real estate broker whose passion for mysteries evolved into writing her own mystery series. Judy is the author of the Chesapeake Bay Mystery series, which features gutsy Helen Morrisey, who coincidentally is a real estate broker, but one that keeps finding bodies. Her most recent book is Peril in the Pool House. BOLO for the next book in her series, Villain in the Vineyard, scheduled for March 2025.

Shari Randall

 

Shari would have enjoyed a career as a ballerina, but since that didn’t spin out, she wrote the Lobster Shack Mystery series, featuring a ballerina. Shari also writes The Ice Cream Shop Murders under the name of Meri Allen. Her most recent publication as Meri Allen was Mint Chocolate Murder. BOLO for an upcoming book from Shari in the Heir of Mystery series, not yet titled.

Martha Reed

 

Martha lives in Pittsburgh but adores New Orleans and based her latest series there. She is the author of the John and Sarah Jarad Nantucket Mystery Series, the Crescent City New Orleans Mystery series, and numerous short stories. Her most recent book is Up Jumped the Devil. BOLO for the third mystery in her NOLA series, The Seven Gates, coming out later this year.

KM Rockwood

 

Kathleen uses her experience supervising an inmate work crew in a medium security prison and teaching in a detention facility as background for her stories. She is the author of the Jesse Damon Crime Novels, three standalone novels, and numerous short stories. Her story “Hard Scrabble” just came out in the anthology Games People Play; Opening Gambit.BOLO for “The Constellation Necklace,” which will appear in Larceny and Last Chances, coming June 2024.

Linda Rodriguez

 

Linda is the author of the Skeet Bannion Mysteries. Her poetry in Dark Sister: Poems, and Heart’s Migration give voice to the living presence of Cherokee teachings and history. She is also well known for her work with authors through her many online writing courses. BOLO for her book, Plotting the Character-Driven Novel.

Grace Topping

 

Grace is a former technical writer who is killing off characters who remind her of some of the people she dealt with in her career. She is the author of the Laura Bishop Mystery Series, which features a newly certified home stager. Susan Van Kirk

 

Susan retired after a career teaching in high school and college. Her favorite genre is mysteries because their endings restore moral order to the universe. Susan writes the Endurance Mystery Series and the Art Center Mystery Series. Her latest book is Death in a Bygone Hue. BOLO for the next book in her Arts Center series, Death in a Ghostly Hue, coming out June 5, 2024.

Heather Weidner

 

Heather is a cop’s kid who thought everyone talked about murder at the dinner table. She now writes the Pearly Girls Mysteries, the Delanie Fitzgerald Mysteries, The Jules Keene Glamping Mysteries, The Mermaid Bay Christmas Shoppe Mysteries, and short stories in various anthologies.     What variety. Glad these books aren’t all coming out on the same day as that would make my newly expanded TBR pile even more difficult to manage.

  2. I read everyone else's mini-bio and always think what a slug I am to turn out (at most) a book a year. Imposter syndrome rears its ugly head.
