Lost in Translation A Review of the Movie "Les Mis" by Warren Bull
Interesting! Though listening to the recording of a live opera performance is wonderful, I notice the difference with the version recorded for CD. We're listening to a vintage Maria Callas recording (technology has come a long way) of "Tosca" before the live, outdoor, socially-distanced Cincinnati Opera performance next week.
I've not seen the movie Les Mis, but I have seen live performances that were fabulous and I do own a CD of the live performance. The musical, when well done, is magical. I'm glad the actors survived the film. Never knew Hugh Jackman sang. What a well-rounded performer.
