Those are some fine examples.
I am still a bit partial to my opening line in the Seamus McCree series: I turned on the porch light and discovered grief standing in front of my door.
Good examples, Warren. I wish I were better at those brief, telling descriptions.
I love quick, brushstroke descriptions. Nice post, Warren.
It's hard to define these concise accurate descriptions, but we recognize them when we see them. Often a few words can say more than several paragraphs.
