Not quite the same deal as in Elizabeth's book, but yes, their actors were NYC based and had good reputations. Elizabeth's MC was enjoyable. I also liked the hotel's staff members, who I assume will be recurring characters. Thanks for the interview Elizabeth. And thank you for the Penny Brannigan series, too. Love it.E. B. I love mountains like the Catskills, and I loved my Shakespeare class in college, so this sounds like a series I'm looking forward to reading.Gloria Aldenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13581719606924364447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-86899274922685297142015-11-11T09:53:41.701-05:002015-11-11T09:53:41.701-05:00Sounds like a fascinating story! The setup, including the temporary staff in cramped housing, could provide a volatile setting for a mystery.KM Rockwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03973749764907859829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-46150962011902903862015-11-11T09:04:41.497-05:002015-11-11T09:04:41.497-05:00I'm perplexed with the setting change, conside...I'm perplexed with the setting change, considering the popularity of Louise Penny's books. My daughter and son-in-law worked for several years at a theater group in the Catskills in Ellenville, NY, and then later in her life my daughter ran the box office for a Shakespeare Summer Theater in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. So I have a good sense of your setting. Best wishes for success with this series.

~ Jim
Jim Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15090252530437277145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-91532281446690603812015-11-11T05:26:13.969-05:002015-11-11T05:26:13.969-05:00Thanks, Elizabeth, for the description of your ser...Thanks, Elizabeth, for the description of your series. It sounds intriguing. I love books where I learn something new, and reading a mystery involving the theater and costume design got my interest. I'm sorry that your editor/publisher had you change the location from Stratford, Canada, to the Catskills. I for one would have enjoyed a book in a different setting than the U.S. Sometimes editors don't give readers enough credit that we will embrace a setting outside of the U.S. Good luck with your series.Grace Toppinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10291304815273486038noreply@blogger.com
