When we moved here, there was a small stone rabbit, which I moved to the side garden. One day I got a knock on my door from a neighborhood mom, whose little girl wanted to know what happened to the rabbit. So now the rabbit's back and he sits next to his friend "the alligator," as Sophie calls him. The mom still eyes me suspiciously (what kind of a monster would have a gargoyle in their garden?) so I'm glad to know Im not alone! :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03494757057285228377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-50420941443267866102016-05-11T14:18:53.980-04:002016-05-11T14:18:53.980-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03494757057285228377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-66517367356617758762016-05-11T14:00:37.511-04:002016-05-11T14:00:37.511-04:00Kaye, thank you! Since I'm marrie...Sounds like a great series.

Since I'm married to a (retired) academic and thus part of an academic community (if peripherally) I can attest to the drama and angst surrounding tenure decisions. One unfortunate aspect is that many places will only tenure a certain percentage of their faculty in any given field, so there is not a tenure "opening" until someone leaves.

Looking forward to reading these.KM Rockwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03973749764907859829noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-993649290245605005.post-5674729731625788662016-05-11T12:20:01.313-04:002016-05-11T12:20:01.313-04:00Thanks, Elaine and Cynthia, for another fun and in...Thanks, Elaine and Cynthia, for another fun and informative interview.
